Graco Duoglider Double Stroller – Why Is It So Popular?

If you need a tandem or double stroller then one option would be to take a look at the Graco Duoglider double stroller. If you have not owned a Graco stroller before then one thing you can be sure about is that they are pretty reliable stroller. These strollers tend to be incredibly sturdy and pretty durable too.

With the Graco Duoglider it might not have all the unnecessary features you find on some strollers, but it does include all the essential features you do need to see you through those early years.

The Duoglider has been designed so that the two seats are in what they call a stadium style, where the rear seat is slightly higher than the front one, giving your child at the back a slightly better view than just staring at the back of the front seat. That’s not to say the child in the back will get a completely unblocked view, but the stadium style seating does help towards this. Removing the canopy off the front seat can also help too.

The rear seat also reclines completely flat which is a great feature for newborn babies or very small children and the rear canopy has a peek a boo screen incorporated into it, so you can keep an eye on your child while out strolling. The front seat does recline, although not completely flat like the rear seat, but enough for a small child to be comfortable or have a nap.

All double strollers need to be a certain size in order to cater for two children, but this common trait doesn’t seem to restrict the handling of the Duoglider. Graco which started out as a US company in Philadelphia has been around for over 60 years and they seem to have cracked this issue quite nicely. Our research found a lot of current owners of the Duoglider were amazed at how well this double stroller handles, even in tight spaces.

The Graco Duoglider also has a large storage area underneath the seats, however just beware that if the rear seat is fully reclined some owners has expressed that this can restrict the access they have to the storage space somewhat.

There is a tray on the front seat which is handy for keeping toys in or carrying drinks and snacks for your child, but there is no tray included on the rear seat, which would have been a nice accessory. The parents also have a tray incorporated into the handles of the stroller to.

One final observation is the pattern and color design of the Duoglider is quite neutral, so no matter what gender your child or children are, the color design would be good for them.

So there you have it. If you need a double stroller that is practical, handles really well, folds easily and has all the essential features you really need, then definitely check out the Graco Duoglider double stroller.

How to Make Tummy Time Fun for Baby

Many babies don’t like to do tummy time because it limits them to how much they can move around. Tummy time though, is an important part of their development because it exercises the muscles that will eventually help them crawl. So basically, while tummy time limits their mobility now, it will lead them to be more mobile later.

To help your baby get used to tummy time and actually enjoy it, you’ll have to be creative. You don’t want to have your baby cry every time you put him down on his stomach because they neither of you will want to do it.

Get on Your Tummy

Getting on your stomach right in front of him will help him focus on something other than the fact that he can’t move. You can make faces, sing him songs or sway back and forth. You’ll see how excited he will be to have some company on the floor with him.

Use Toys to Encourage Crawling

Get one of his favorite toys and place it right in front of him. Then tell him to come and get it. While he may not be able to itch himself over to the toy, he will try really hard and that is great. Always give him the toy after a little while so he doesn’t get discouraged or he will soon not like that game very much.

Give Him a Massage

When he is on his tummy, you can calm him by taking some lotion and rubbing his back. The special mommy or daddy time will be great for him and it will help him understand that being on his stomach isn’t as bad as he really feels that it is.

Give Him Something to Play

If you haven’t already, invest in a play mat. These mats help baby enjoy tummy time because they are brightly colored and have button on them that when pressed will play music. Your baby will have a great time hitting the buttons just to hear the music and will love to stare at the bright colors.

Start Small and Work Your Way Up

At first, your baby may not want to do tummy time at all. But if you are able to get him to be on his tummy time for at least a minute, you’ve done a good job. Try to increase the time he is on his belly every so often so that he can get used to it. By starting out with the least amount of time and building it up, he’ll start to get used to it and might not mind it as much.

You Do the Best You Can

Your baby will get his muscles worked out no matter how much time you place him on his belly. So do the best you can. If he stresses him and you out too much then just take breaks from time to time.

Always speak to your doctor if you believe there may be something wrong that could be making tummy time uncomfortable.
