How to Use a Boppy
When I first saw the boppy pillow as a pregnant mom I told myself that I wouldn’t need one or I wouldn’t use it but my friends talked me into registering for it anyway and man was I glad that I did!
The boppy is a lifesaver especially for nursing moms. After you give birth your body is already a little sore and trying to sit in a certain position for long periods of time while nursing your baby can add extra strain and discomfort to your back, neck and shoulders, so this incredible pillow comes to the rescue. It also helps you build a stronger bond with your baby because they are comfortable when you are comfortable.
You can also use the pillow to give your arms a rest. Simply place your boppy on the floor and rest your baby against it. Always remember to never leave your baby unattended on the baby and never but your baby face down due to suffocation.
Tummy time is recommended for babies and they boppy can be used to help strengthen you little ones upper body. Simply place the pillow on the floor and your baby on its belly with the chest resting on the pillow. Again, never leave the baby unattended.
Once your child is able to sit up on their own you can also place the boppy behind them for added support and safety in case they start to unexpectedly tumble to the side or backwards.
If you plan on nursing your baby or just want a little extra help then the Boppy is a great thing to register for or purchase for yourself.
